In recent cryptocurrency market news, Worldcoin, a well-known technology company, has decided to suspend one of its key functions in three key countries.

According to reports from Moneycontrol on December 21, Worldcoin has decided to disable its iris scanning feature, known as Orb, for users in India, Brazil and France. This device, weighing just five pounds, was intended to identify residents of those regions where traditional identity verification methods were insufficient.

Although the company had previously promoted the process of deploying the technology by rewarding local operators in USDC, it recently began paying out these rewards in its own token, WLD.

Nonetheless, according to information from Moneycontrol, Worldcoin discontinued the process in India a few months ago, which caused some controversy, especially since many people have been claiming Orb operators in different parts of the country.
