The controversy surrounding cryptocurrency exchange FTX took a new turn as its bankruptcy estate filed a lawsuit against the parents of its founder, Sam Bankman-Fried. Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried, who are law professors at Stanford University, are accused of misappropriating millions of dollars, including $5.5 million in donations to the university allegedly orchestrated by the couple. Stanford University will be returning the “gifts” worth millions of dollars it received from FTX. Moreover, Sam Bankman-Fried is also preparing for a trial next month from behind bars. The parents have denied all allegations, calling them “completely false”.
