New York-based Sonic SVM, a chain extension for Solana, has introduced a $1 million hackathon to spur the creation of decentralized applications (dapps) on its gaming-focused network. The event, named Mobius Hackathon, opened for submissions on February 17 and will close on March 14. Winners will be announced April 2, following the launch of Sonic’s mainnet on February 27.
The competition targets developers building applications across four categories: gaming, decentralized finance (DeFi), artificial intelligence (AI), and attention capital markets.
