PumpFun Livestream Feature: In a move signaling renewed confidence in its content ecosystem, Solana-based memecoin launchpad Pump.fun has reintroduced its livestream feature after a five-month hiatus.
The platform paused the functionality in November 2024 following incidents of inappropriate content streaming, but it’s now returning — cautiously and with revamped guardrails.
Pump.fun, which rose to prominence during the memecoin boom on Solana, allowed users to stream themselves while launching or promoting tokens directly through its interface.
The feature, launched as an experiment to increase community engagement and virality, quickly caught on. But it also opened the door to unmoderated and sometimes harmful content, including hate speech and graphic material.
