The Near Foundation has partnered with Ethereum scaling firm Polygon Labs to enhance cross-chain interoperability. The collaboration will involve the creation of zkWASM, a zero-knowledge prover for WebAssembly (WASM) blockchains that maximizes developers’ customization capability. Chains will be able to access shared liquidity in a unified ecosystem of CDK-deployed chains through an interoperability layer, according to a press release. The zero-knowledge technology eliminates the need for individuals to regularly supply personal data, and validators can now produce a zero-knowledge proof, streamlining the process. Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal praised the initiative.
