Non-transferable coins
Digital assets known as non-transferable tokens (NFTs) can be sold online using cryptocurrencies. Typically, certificates refer to a digital artwork or other virtual object. However, over the past few months, the value of NFT has fallen sharply, prompting the retailer to launch a campaign.
Christoph Schneider, managing director of marketing at Kaufland Germany, said that the vast majority of NFTs that are in blockchain no longer have any value today. He added that now was the perfect time to deliver some good news to the NFT community.

Italian projects
This is not the only NFT related project that a European retailer has introduced this year. In February, Italian hypermarket chain Bennet launched Bennet NFT Club, the first customer loyalty programme based on NFT and blockchain technology in the country.
This campaign includes three different collections of ,,NFT by Bennet” and 2,700 different available digital products, inspired by the new Bennet shopping bags designed by IED-Istituto Europeo di Design.
In January, Gruppo VéGé, the retail cooperative, celebrated the entry of its brand into the special register of Historic Brands of National Significance with the launch of NFT.
The NFT title, ,’L’Italia faceva la spesa, Gruppo VéGé faceva la storia’, was offered in 99 copies on the industry platform OpenSea.
