- The partnership will bring a new era of mobility to the Dolos world in which Life Beyond is set.
- Honda will play a key role in the „concept art” of the car used to travel in the world of Dolos.
- Honda had already made its debut in the Hondaverse, a virtual world in Fortnite for Twitch, in July 2022.
- Honda has also begun accepting cryptocurrency payments for its products, including Dogecoin (DOGE) and Ripple (XRP), through a partnership with FCF Pay.
Animoca Brands’ subsidiary, Darewise, which developed Metaverse Life Beyond together with Animoca Brands Japan, has signed a new partnership with Honda Motor Co, Ltd.
The aim is to create a completely new automotive experience with Web3 technology centred around cars and transport in the upcoming AAA science fiction game Life Beyond.
In practise, this partnership aims to bring a new era of mobility to the planet Dolos, where Life Beyond is set. This will be done by integrating the latest innovations and experiences of the Honda team into the game itself. Darewise and Honda plan to jointly develop new game elements such as activities, objects and items.
The project, „Honda Beyond The Metaverse: A Future AAA Science Fiction Web3 Game„, is designed to immerse players in a fascinating world. The collaboration with Honda also includes active involvement in the design of the vehicles used to travel the world of Dolos.
Benjamin Charbit, CEO of Darewise, expressed his delight at the close cooperation with Honda as an important automotive partner. According to Charbit, the ideas and creativity resulting from this collaboration will not only add style and functionality to the game, but will also significantly enhance the gaming experience.
It’s worth noting that this is not Honda’s first experience in the Metaverse. In July 2022, the company debuted in Hondaverse, a virtual game world developed specifically for the Twitch platform.
Hondaverse features unique Fortnite maps where users and streamers can compete against each other in virtual races, parkour and trivia challenges.
In addition, Honda has started accepting cryptocurrencies through its FCF Pay system. The car manufacturer, based in Tokyo, Japan, started accepting payments with Dogecoin (DOGE) and Ripple (XRP) in October 2023. The company enables its customers to use 46 different cryptocurrencies supported by FCF Pay to purchase and rent its products.
