Popular crypto exchanges like Coinbase are now making the first move to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into crypto transactions. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated that the Coinbase developer team successfully conducted the first AI-to-AI crypto transaction on the platform.
Coinbase Conducts AI Crypto Transactions
Brian Armstrong announced the milestone achievement by crypto exchange Coinbase recording the first-ever AI-to-AI crypto transaction. This transaction involved one AI platform buying “tokens” from another AI, but not entirely in the traditional crypto sense.
It basically involved the exchange of words between two large language models (LLMs). Coinbase developers conducted these transactions on the Layer 2 Network Base using the USDC stablecoin while demonstrating the potential for AI agents to conduct financial transactions instantly, globally, and without fees.
