Helium network has successfully migrated to Solana, completing development over the last 12 months. Helium’s core developers made the announcement saying they completed the upgrade from the Helium blockchain to Solana. This upgrade establishes a new era of scalability, expansion, and reliability for the world’s largest decentralized wireless network, they said. Helium Migration Complete
The Helium developers chose Solana to gain significantly more utility, including faster transaction speeds and new smart contract capabilities for the network, they said in a statement. Migration to Solana means that core developers will no longer have to maintain a layer 1 blockchain. The Helium Foundation and other contributing organizations can now direct more resources
