Adidas and Moncler: adventurers in the world of NFT and AI

Adidas and Moncler have cooperated on a project related to NFT through Adidas Originals, with a focus on artificial intelligence technology. The initiative, called ,,The Art of Explorers”, focuses on adventurers equipped with artificial intelligence and offers virtual experiences available on the official Moncler website. The partnership also includes a token collection, which features the Moncler x Adidas Originals “NMD” shoes and is available for purchase from 5 October.

  • Adidas and Moncler collaborate on NFT AI, combining elegance and technology.
  • On 4 October, digital collectables and a new campaign centred around artificial intelligence launched simultaneously.
  • Moncler, has teamed up with eighteen renowned fashion designers to refresh and reinterpret the fashion house’s iconic motifs in the “Genius” collection for the autumn/winter 2023 season.
  • The finished installations were presented at an event held during London Fashion Week in February.
  • Adidas has a much larger online presence than Moncler, so the clothing company can capitalise on its success to increase its online visibility.

Two of the biggest names in fashion collaborate on Web3

Luxury brand Moncler and sportswear giant Adidas announced this week that they will collaborate on a non-transferable token (NFT) project through Adidas Originals. On 4 October, the digital collector’s items and a new campaign centred around AI launched simultaneously.

To celebrate the release of a new crossover called “The Art of Explorers,” the two developers focused on using machine learning to create a line of “adventurers” equipped with artificial intelligence.

The project, which was born thanks to artists Gary Card, Ibby Njoya and Kate Tabor, has also been transformed into sculptures made in different techniques, symbolising the collective spirit of nature’s explorers.

What’s more, the official Moncler website offers a virtual experience that invites viewers to immerse themselves even more deeply in an adventurous environment that stretches the boundaries of the imagination. With a metropolis-inspired backdrop, visitors have the opportunity to travel and access unique products and make purchases through “digital billboards„.

This concept also leverages the company’s successful Adidas Originals strategy related to NFT technology. In addition to the artificial intelligence based design, this partnership will also introduce a collection of limited edition tokens, including the Moncler x adidas Originals “NMD” shoes. These shoes are available from 5 October.

Moncler is known for its self-imposed rhythm when it comes to partnerships. The clothing giant has partnered with eight fashion designers, including Rick Owens, Palm Angels and Salehe Bembury, to rework iconic elements of its fashion house in its ,,Genius” collection for the autumn/winter 2023 season. The results were later showcased at an event held during London Fashion Week in February.

Furthermore, Moncler is not shying away from the growing virtual world. To mark its 70th anniversary, the company has unveiled 1,070 NFT inspired by the iconic Maya jacket that 3D artist Antoni Tudisco created the previous October.

Compared to Moncler, Adidas has a much larger presence in the online world, so the clothing company can use this success to increase its online visibility. It is worth noting that one of the key values in the Web3 environment is collaboration, so it is not surprising that brands are choosing to collaborate in this area.

Collaborations continue to play a significant role in the offline world, even amidst discussions of a possible market collapse. However, the burgeoning Web3 ecosystem could become a saviour for the fashion industry and modify current trends in the way the industry operates.
