The Polkadot network has revealed the next step in its scaling roadmap with a proposal to introduce Asynchronous Backing.
Courtesy of the Asynchronous backing, execution time on the Polkadot will be increased, while Parablock time will be reduced.
A recent Polkadot proposal aims to advance the development of the network. The proposal, known as “Asynchronous Backing” is going to mark a major step in Polkadot’s scaling roadmap.
Polkadot describes Asynchronous backing as the latest step in the roadmap towards scaling Polkadot’s performance, as well as its flexibility for Web3 use cases across different sectors.
Amongst other things, Async backing promises to optimize Polkadot’s parachain consensus protocol by cutting down on block time. In addition, block space will also be increased, and blocks will be reused if they initially don’t make it onto the Relay Chain.
