  • In the future, Apple hopes to integrate Vision Pro into the iPhone and other Apple products. Many use cases for artificial intelligence are expected to explode in the areas of health, fitness and sports.

Wedbush analysts expect the excitement surrounding the first weekend after the Vision Pro announcement to give Apple a big boost, as customers enter the shop with a kind of curiosity and interest in demonstrations and purchases that the company has not seen in years.

In a Wedbush note to investors on Sunday, which Apple Insider was able to view, it says, „We believe Apple Vision Pro will be a potential breakthrough in the coming years, and Cupertino has clearly succeeding with this new generation of the format, far exceeding the Street’s initial expectations.

Wedbush notes that despite Vision Pro’s high price point and limited audience outside of developers, he is „surprised by the early mass market appeal of Vision Pro.” The first 600 applications designed specifically for visionOS have „far exceeded expectations” and are „breathtaking”.

According to industry estimates, the second generation model could cost less than $2,000 and be available in three versions. This is „just the beginning for the Vision Pro,” the letter states, and continues, „Apple intends to more aggressively promote its Gold install base.

The message includes speculation about future models, referring to the oft-mentioned smart glasses and predicting „form factors that look like sunglasses” in the coming years. Apple Vision Pro sales are expected to exceed one million units by 2025.

Plan for artificial intelligence

Wedbush believes that Apple Vision Pro is the first step towards the introduction of artificial intelligence and a separate app store for artificial intelligence and that Apple will probably talk about it internally at WWDC. The analysts point to Apple CEO Tim Cook’s insights into artificial intelligence as well as his plans to announce it later in 2024.

„We also believe Apple will integrate generative artificial intelligence into the iPhone 16, which will be the start of a new growth frontier for Cupertino’s gold installed base,” the report states.

In the coming years, Apple hopes to integrate Vision Pro into the iPhone and other Apple products „as many use cases for artificial intelligence explode in health, fitness, sports content and autonomy.

Wedbush claims that other Wall Street experts are dismissing Vision Pro as temporary hype. She predicts Apple will experience a renaissance of growth over the next 12–18 months and „remains a technology stock worth owning.”
